AI-ready website upgrade
Your website has more readers than it used to – only the new ones aren't people. Search engines and AI assistants read along too, and what they don't understand, they don't recommend.
AI-ready website upgrade
01AI-ready website upgrade
When someone asks ChatGPT "who does this near me?", the structure of your website helps decide whether you turn up in the answer. The upgrade starts exactly there: services, FAQs, prices and contact routes are lifted out of the running text and stored as a clear, machine-readable structure – without anything getting worse for human visitors. Quite the opposite: working on the structure usually makes the content clearer for people too. Your website stays the same – it just finally becomes understandable in both languages.
Straight up: "AI-ready" doesn't automatically mean a chatbot, and you won't get a ranking promise from me – no one controls how search engines and AI systems weigh things. What can be controlled: that your content is understandable, structured and current. And sometimes the review's result is that a relaunch is the wiser path than an upgrade on a shaky foundation.
02Demo
The same firm page, two views: drag the divider – on the left what people see, on the right what search engines and AI assistants read from it. After the upgrade both views line up exactly.
What happens in the upgrade: existing content becomes structured building blocks – and those are reliably retrievable, for people, search engines and AI assistants.
03How it works
- 01
A review with a fundamental question
What's on the website, what's missing, what's out of date – and will the underpinning carry an upgrade, or would a relaunch serve better? Either is a good outcome, if it's the right one.
- 02
Structure the knowledge
Services, audiences, FAQs, pricing logic, references, contact routes: what's stuck in running text and PDFs today gets sorted into clear building blocks. This is where the real value is created – the rest is execution.
- 03
Close gaps, phrase things more clearly
Structuring surfaces what's missing: the answer to the most common customer question that no one wrote down. Gaps like that get closed, and what's there gets phrased more clearly.
- 04
Mark it up technically
The building blocks get their machine-readable form: structured data, clean semantics, FAQ markup. Invisible to visitors, the difference for search and AI.
- 05
Check that it lands
At the end it's tested: does an AI model now understand what you offer, for whom and on what terms? Plus a Search Console look and a crawling check – measured rather than felt.
04Stages
Not everyone needs the full depth – the review sets the tier, not the catalogue.
Entry: the base patch
Add structured data, meta information and FAQ markup to the existing website – no rebuild. Quickly done, effective right away.
Extended: the structure upgrade
Content is recut: services, FAQs, prices as structured fields, gaps closed, phrased more clearly.
Full build: website as a data base
The website becomes the knowledge base for assistants: a knowledge structure a companion can build on – often as an AI-ready relaunch.
05Technical implementation
- Core of the markup: Schema.org/JSON-LD (Service, LocalBusiness, FAQPage), semantic HTML, a clean heading hierarchy.
- Content moves into structured fields – in your website's CMS or as a content model a later relaunch takes over.
- Optional as its own layer: a knowledge file (Markdown/JSON, llms.txt) that later feeds a companion or knowledge base.
- Checked with crawling/SEO tools, Search Console – and with AI tests: does a model understand what the company offers?
- Hosting usually stays unchanged; the work happens in the website, CMS or code.
- With prices and specialist information we deliberately use ranges and currency dates rather than false precision.
for context · This shows how something like this usually gets built – not how it has to be built for you. What actually fits is worked out in the project: around your existing setup, your team, and what stays easy to maintain.
